Description of the activity – This trip is best suited for experienced kayakers. You do not have to be professionals, but the trip is designed for kayakers who paddle whitewater class II to IV. The main goal is the Futaleufu, which is a must for every real kayaker. With this tour you will experience fantastic white water in picturesque Patagonian surroundings. Our guides know the river very well and guide you on the best and safest lines through the different rapids of the different stages. We start the journey in Pucon and work our way south from here. On the way we explore a few other rivers. The program includes the Rio Fuy and Gol Gol and / or Petrohue.
Description of the trip – Upon your arrival in Temuco, we will pick you up from the airport and bring you to Pucon. Here you spend the first night in Palguín (about 30 kilometers from Pucon) in a hut in the countryside – on one side a mountain, on the other side of the beautiful Palguin River with its many waterfalls. After a hopefully relaxed night, breakfast will be on the second day, before you will drive to Pucon, where you will meet your guide. Before heading to Futaleufu, kayaks and paddles are selected and tested in one of the surrounding rivers.
Then you spend another night in Palguín. Then it’s off to the Rio Fuy, where you will camp after kayaking. The next day the Gol Gol and / or Petrohue rivers are on the program. Even after that, another night at the campsite is announced. Finally, take the ferry to Chaitén from where you continue to your main destination – Futaleufu. Here you spend four days exploring the area with – and a bit without a kayak. You spend the nights here in cozy cabins.
Throughout the trip you will be accompanied by an internationally experienced guide and a wizard who will not only guide you in the river, but also tell you a lot about the Chilean culture, flora and Fauna.
